We show you how to incorporate basic safety into your home kitchen as well as knife skills for regularly used produce items. We hope this serves as a helpful companion to our recipes while we can’t be with you in person.

Seasonal Recipes for Summer
These recipes were developed as part of our partnership with community partners, the Crescent City Farmer’s Market, and the Krewe of Red Beans Feed the Second Line initiative. They were designed to celebrate the season, using produce available locally in Louisiana. We are developing new recipes weekly for the Crescent City Farmer’s Market local produce boxes available for purchase through Top Box Foods New Orleans. The boxes can be delivered to your door and SNAP benefits can be applied. These recipes have also been included in the local produce boxes being donated to elder New Orleans culture bearers through the Krewe of Red Beans Feed the Second Line initiative. Seasonal Recipes for Fall / Winter
These recipes have been created by the dietetic interns from Tulane University and feature items sourced from the ReFresh Farmers’ Market which is run by our partner, SPROUT NOLA, and held on Mondays from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at 2606 St. Louis St. right around the corner from the ReFresh Project building. Visit their Facebook page for updates and more information! They offer Market Match for SNAP shoppers and carry the freshest local produce, which allows everyone in our community to eat nutritiously and deliciously.
