We are excited to announce that we are hosting cooking classes online. These classes have been designed to incorporate the nutrition principles and cooking skills we teach in our in-person classes, but will also provide specific guidance relevant right now, as you are likely cooking more meals at home and may also be making less frequent trips to the store. You may also be looking to step up your skills and we are happy to help you increase your kitchen confidence! All classes are held via Zoom, which is free to download to your computer, tablet, or phone. We have planned the recipes to be flexible and will offer suggestions for ingredient substitutions. Recipes and a shopping list will be provided in advance, so you can plan to cook along with us in your home kitchen! You can also tune in to watch and cook the recipes later because we will be recording each session and emailing the video out to registered participants after class.
We are offering this class on a donation basis and ask that you pay what you can. We have reserved a limited number of free tickets in each class to ensure they are accessible to all members of our community. We greatly appreciate any donation to our program, which is tax-deductible and goes directly towards supporting our community programming!
Class: Spring Seafood Techniques with Chef Katie

Menu: En Papillote Fish with Potatoes & Greens | Pickled Shrimp
Join us as we demonstrate a traditional French technique for cooking fish that results in a dramatic presentation, but is secretly very easy and simple to prepare. This technique allows you to cook your vegetables right inside the parchment packet in the oven along with the fish which steams to perfection. Chef Katie will also be showing a different take on a simple method for shrimp that can be used in various recipes like an elevated shrimp salad or as a topper for your avocado toast. These dishes will be light and bright – perfect for Spring!
