Seasonal Recipes & Local Produce Resources 2023/2024 

These recipes and handouts have been created by the 2024 class of Dietetic Interns from Tulane University’s School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. The recipes are designed to be big on flavor while being simple and easy to prepare. The handouts feature seasonal, locally available produce and include tips for purchasing, storing, and preparing each item. In partnership with our ReFresh Project neighbors, SPROUT NOLA, we also included growing tips you can use if you want to grow vegetables at home!

These recipes have been created by the 2021, 2022, and 2023 class of Dietetic Interns from Tulane University’s School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine and feature items sourced from the Crescent City Farmer’s Market. They offer Market Match for SNAP shoppers and carry the freshest local produce, which allows everyone in our community to eat nutritiously and deliciously.

These recipes were developed in the Summer of 2020 as part of our partnership with community partners, the Crescent City Farmer’s Market, Top Box Foods New Orleans, and the Krewe of Red Beans Feed the Second Line initiative.
